The Bible of British Taste

I instantly pre-ordered this book by Ruth Guilding. In her own words: “My personal mantra for the descriptions of people and their houses in this book roughly seems to be that old stuff is good, and perfection is boring.” Amen!

Cross Stitch Cherry Pajamas

If you look closely, the cherries on these classic pajamas feature a sweet cross stitch pattern and they’ve embroidered “sweet dreams” at the cuffs. Don’t sleep on (see what I did there?) the matching robe, cosmetic bag, and nightshirt.

Gabe and I love to watercolor together and I quickly realized that starting with a gorgeous palette like this one gives us an instant advantage. With these hues even our scribbles have us feeling like Helen Frankenthaler.

Mrs. Francoise

Last night I stumbled across the designs of Mrs. Francoise and found myself adding endless pieces to my wish list (this maxi dress! this skirt!). Each piece is made to order and available in stripes, gingham, or toile de jouy. Now if only they sold a sofa to match!

Floral Brass Candle Holders

I’ve long admired Hastshilp England’s rattan designs, but these gleaming brass beauties were a new discovery. There’s just something about an old-fashioned unwired sconce that makes my heart skip a beat—after all, everyone looks their best in candlelight. Inspired by traditional Swedish candle sconces with a distinctive Indian twist, they marry two of my favorite places in the world. Now how to choose between the daisy, buttercup, sunflower, or deco-inspired flora?!

Blind Embossed Block Print

These limited-edition botanicals by Appalachian artist Lauren Crowe are worthy of pride of place on any wall. A set of six framed and hung together would make a stunning statement, though each print is equally striking on its own. Explore the full collection here.

Chore Coat

I ordered this classic chore coat recently (love the corduroy collar and cuffs) and am very pleased. Size up if you want to fit cozy knits underneath!

Grand Hotel Son Net

Last but not least, I’m dreaming of a stay at Grand Hotel Son Net in Mallorca. The 17th‑century estate, with its lush gardens, dreamy mountain views, and interiors by Lorenzo Castillo (loooove his work), looks like the ultimate Mediterranean escape. Who’s coming with me?
